Tour Edge Exotics C720 Review: 3-Wood vs. Hybrid Performance

In this episode of Lets Play Thru, the spotlight is on the Tour Edge Exotics C720 line, particularly the 3-wood and hybrid. The C725 3-wood boasts a titanium carbon construction, offering adjustable draw or fade bias, a 15g tungsten weight, and a 3D diamond face for those low spinning shots. Handbuilt in the USA, these clubs come with a lifetime warranty, a reassuring touch for any golfer. However, the hybrid steals the show with its unique design and adjustability in the hosel, featuring a flight tuning system for draw or fade adjustments.
During the testing phase, the C725 3-wood impresses with its distance and control, delivering shots around 230 yards with a pleasing sound. On the other hand, the hybrid's tingy sound and lack of distance leave much to be desired, resulting in inconsistent performance from various lies. Despite offering workability and forgiveness, the clubs receive a mixed rating, scoring a three out of five for distance and forgiveness, and a commendable four and a half out of five for workability. Aesthetically, the 3-wood wins over the hybrid, impacting the overall rating of the C720 line.
While the Tour Edge Exotics C720 line is competitively priced and handbuilt in the USA, the performance falls slightly short compared to other offerings from the brand. The 3-wood shines with its adjustability and sound, providing a decent distance on the course. However, the hybrid's unconventional design and lack of pop raise questions about its suitability for various playing conditions. Golf enthusiasts looking for a versatile and forgiving club might find the C720 line intriguing, but those seeking top-tier performance may want to explore other options within the Tour Edge Exotics range.
